We are a small family run Independent Funeral Directors based in East Goscote in the beautiful Charnwood area of Leicestershire.
Our Funeral Directors' Shane and Danielle together have over 30 years experience in the funeral profession.
We are proud to be members of The British Institute of Funeral Directors, this shows our commitment to delivering a quality service and upholding the highest standards with continuous professional development.
We have a large private chapel of rest called 'The Griffin Suite' named after the late 'Dave Griffin', a lifelong friend who we sadly lost in 2020 and was the first to use Butterfly Funeral Services.
'The Griffin Suite' is a homely private room where you can spend time with your loved one or just visit for some reflection or prayer time if you decide viewing is not for you but still want to feel close.

Shane Mousley
DipFD, MBIFD, MNARF
Shane started in the funeral profession in June of 1991 working for a large corporate company where he gained valuable knowledge, experience and became qualified before leaving for a period to join the fire service and pursue other avenues.
After a persistent desire to return to his calling Shane and his son Harrison decided in 2012 it was time to set up their first Independent Funeral Directors based in Melton Mowbray, in 2020 this company was sold on to family also keeping the family name.
Danielle Mousley
Danielle has been in the funeral profession since 2019, First working for a large corporate company gaining a lot of valuable knowledge during her time there.
Danielle decided in 2021 it was time to join Shane at Butterfly as a Funeral Director working in the independent sector.
Danielle's history has always been person centered care. Starting in childcare, adult social care and specialized in End of Life/ Palliative care. Danielle hopes her caring nature will be a great comfort to the families we are honored to serve.
Matthew Jacques
Matthew is our part time Funeral Director working two days per week and on request. Matthew has been doing a great job since 2013 and absolutely loves what he does.
